Project summary

The main objective of the MEDLAND2020 project is to promote a common integral land management scheme to protect natural resources in synergy with social and economic valorization in the Mediterranean basin. The project includes the participation of thirteen partners linked to MED projects from seven north rib countries (France, Spain, Italy, Croatia, Slovenia, Greece and Portugal), and one invited country (Albany) in the partnership. Under the general thematic on Management of natural resources, MED projects outputs capitalisation are organised under four subtopics: Integral management of natural protected areas; natural risks management, specially wildfires; social and economic valorisation of the territory as rural development, sustainable tourism or marketing; smart natural resources management, from emerging uses as biomass to new challenges as environmental services payment.

Project summary

The main objective of the project is to establish a quality assurance mechanism aimed at improving the quality and competitiveness of tourism education and training in Europe. The mechanism involves: identifying quality standards for tourism education and training, improving pedagogic efficiency in tourism training and is expected to contribute to establishing a standardized and constant level of quality in tourism training. The project will focus, in particular on a few tourism-related jobs, which the partner institutions train.
